The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann
The Netflix original documentary examines the disappearance of Madeline McCann. Madeleine went missing from from their family’s holiday apartment at the seaside resort of Praia de Luz in Portugal 3 May, 2007. It offers a detailed look at the case with 8 episodes in total. It adds to Netflix’s growing true crime documentaries and is definitely a must-see if this genre appeals to you.
If you think this is going to be that typical ‘heist’ movie; you are so wrong. Triple Frontier sees 5 former special forces ops reunite to steal a drug lord’s fortune. However, it quickly turns into the mission from hell when one of the ops’ greed take over. I really liked this film and defining had me on the edge of my seat! Definitely a must-see.
Beauty and the Beast
An adaptation of the Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast features the lovely Emma Watson as Belle who ventures into an enchanted castle and meets a mysterious Beast. The musical experience gets you singing along to the classics such as ‘be our guest’ and ‘tale as old as time’ and Emma especially does a really good job. It’s a lovely movie to watch and the 3d effects are mesmerising!
America’s fate lies in the hands of a low-level official after an attack on Washington decimates the government in this gripping political thriller. It’s one of those series where you cannot stop watching and end up watching 10 episodes in one go then the Netflix menu pops up asking ‘are you still watching?’ You’ll definitely need your popcorn for this!
Lost in Space
After a crash-landing on an alien planet, the Robinson family fight against the odds to survive and escape. However, they are surrounded by hidden dangers. Based on the original 1965 series, this reboot is every inch gripping, thrilling and packed full of action.
