In today’s post, I thought I would show you my recent purchases. Firstly, I popped into TK Maxx. It’s a store that I don’t often visit, but when I do, I find the most wonderful treasures from sweet stationery to handsome homewares.
I picked up a lovely book titled The Art of Stripes by Libby Vanderploeg. The beautifully illustrated book details ways to wear stripes from autumnal coverups to sensational summer dresses and draws upon fashion icons for inspiration including, Coco Chanel.
Additionally, I picked up this pretty spiral-bound planner. The planner is sturdy and tough which, is essential for on-the-go making it practical and robust. I prefer the hardback spiral-bound design as I find it easier to use (especially being left-handed). The mid-year planner is decorated with wonderful illustrations including, week-per-page, stickers and a notes section. A 2018 and 2019 calendar at the front of the planner is a great way to see an overview of the year and the year ahead.
At the beginning of each month is an overview; a ideal place to record goals, deadlines, and appointments. The planner comes with three sheets of these sweet stickers (how lovely!) including, blank templates for your own designs.
Each month is separated by a divider adorned with an inspirational quote (which I love!) It also comes with a monthly notes section, to-do lists, goals, a mini calendar and an appointments section.
Each month includes a calendar (which is dated), a mini notes section and decorated with inspirational quotes. The planner draws upon a pastel colour theme which is lovely. Its the perfect mid-year planner whether you are at work or a student. I cannot wait to start filling mine in!
Secondly, I visited Topshop and purchased some jewellery. The floral hooped earrings caught my eye immediately. I think they are so pretty! The earrings feature roses, chrysanthemums and daisies, complete with enamel and diamond detailing. I also picked up a sweet bumblebee necklace. The chain is around 24 inch in length which sits perfectly on the neckline.
Lastly, I purchased these lovely liquid lipsticks from L’oreal from their Les Chocolats collection. I purchased three as they were on a 3-for-2 promotion. After playing with the swatches in store, I decided on: Box of Chocolate (852), 70% Yum (856) and Oh My Choc! (858). I posted some swatches on my Insta Stories. I may write up a detailed review so, if this is something you would like, please let me know in the comments section.
I would love to know your thoughts, so please feel free to leave me a comment or get in touch via any of my social media accounts.
