Lucky Fox, Division Street, Sheffield
Okay, so who’s grabbed their phone, opened up Google and searched for “food near me” looking for a tasty restaurant nearby? Yep, me too. Well, I love comfort food, there’s no doubt about that and I love finding’s independent cafes and restaurants off the beaten track. Not like the big chain restaurants that can be easily found in every city, these are little gems that are rare, often stocking and cooking local produce, and supporting their local community. So, when I popped into Lucky Fox a few weeks ago, I knew I had to share a review with you all!
The staff are super friendly and welcoming, greeting everyone who enters which is so lovely. Inside, the walls are adorned with really creative artwork including, some local artists and some Sheffield pride art which really adds to the vibe. It’s small inside but I think that’s what makes it cosy and friendly.

The Brooklyn-inspired menu features tasty fried chicken and chicken wings, yummy waffles that Rufus Humphrey would envy, delicious fries with a choice of toppings and a selection of drinks and milkshakes. I have to say, the fried chicken is amazing… it’s not greasy or tasteless. The food is excellent quality with everything being freshly prepared and cooked and the service is brilliant. I had the OG Lucky Club which is fried chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and cheddar cheese in a super soft brioche bun. My friend had the Williamsburger which is fried chicken, fried egg, Swiss cheese, smoky bacon, hot sauce all in a brioche bun. We shared the hot wings and cheese fries and we was so full afterwards! Also, can we appreciate all that melted cheese?!
