As with my previous Jump for Joy, here are three things that have made me smile recently. Firstly, my best friend and I visited Lucky Fox for our lunch and of course, a good catch up! It was so lovely to sit down and have a good natter after so long. We keep in touch over the phone, but nothing beats being face-to-face.
Based in Sheffield, Lucky Fox is a Brooklyn inspired eatery serving delicious fried chicken, waffles and fries with a variety of tasty toppings (we had melted cheese). I ordered the OG Lucky Fox burger (it was huge!) which comes with their famous fried chicken, bacon, salad and cute little pot of gherkins.
What’s a movie without a sweet treat? I love baking and find it so therapeutic. I whipped up some rocky road – you can find the recipe here. They are so easy and quick to make! Best of all, you can add your own twist to this recipe… raisins and cherries always make a fabulous addition. These are best stored in the fridge.
Also, I’ve started watching Gossip Girl again (can we just take a moment to appreciate Blair and Serena’s amazing wardrobe?) I’m probably watching this series for the third time now but I do love it! Also, I have made some Gossip Girl inspired desktop wallpapers (they are free to download) which you can find here.
So, for Valentine’s Day I decided to treat myself to these lovely flowers (well, why not?!) They were £8 reduced to £3 – total bargain! I cooked a yummy bowl of spaghetti bolognese with lots of grated parmesan and watched Gossip Girl. I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
