This DIY tutorial will show you how to make a pinwheel and you can adapt to any size or pattern you wish. Read on to find out how to make these pretty paper pinwheels.
You will need
- Patterned paper
- Lolly pop sticks (optional)
- Start off by selecting which patterned paper you’d like to use. I find double-sided patterned paper to be the best but if you don’t have this, you can stick two pieces together. Cut out a square measuring 10cm x 10cm.
- Next fold the paper into quarters then open back out. Measure 1cm out from the centre of the paper between the folded lines and mark with a pencil. Cut from the corners of the square to the marked points between the folded lines.
- Alternating between the cut folds, stick into the centre of the paper. Once all alternative folds have been stuck, you can glue a small button or any other small decoration into the middle. Stick your pinwheel to a lolly pop stick or simply use as a decoration.
