Autumn is finally here! I honestly cannot wait to swear big chunky jumpers, sip pumpkin spiced lattes and snuggle down to watch Gilmore Girls (anyone else get autumnal vibes watching Gilmore Girls?!) So, in today’s post I wanted to share three autumnal trends that are really popular at the moment. I’ve been seeing them in stores, online and all over Pinterest! They are super cute and stylish and I honestly cannot wait to wear autumnal clothing! So, the 3 trends are plaid, pastel and floral. Scroll down to get some inspiration!
Plaid is all over at the moment! From cute skirts and scarfs to cigarette trousers and blazers! This style works best if you have one or two pieces that are plaid; anymore and it can look too fussy. My favourite way to wear this trend is with a lovely plaid skirt, roll neck sweater and some cute black boots or pair a plaid jacket with a roll neck jumper and jeans.
Tassel Tie Waist Frilled Swiss Dot Skirt | Pink Bloomsbury Bag | Pink Velvet Pearl Embellished Knot Hairband | Double Breasted Belted Coat | Alpaca Wool Blend Cardigan | Felted Wool Beret | Simplee Solid Pompom Detail Jumper
Pastels are super cute and don’t just have to be for springtime. Think pastel knitwear, muted shades and cashmere soft textures. This trend looks best when it’s one statement piece such as a chunky jumper or cardigan. Pair with pastel accessories such as a cute handbag or a beret.
Knitted Jumper in Mustard Yellow | Mustard Louise Trellis Floral Dress | Open Back Wrap Daisy Print Cami Dress | Black Ditzy Floral Ruched Skirt Tea Dress | Blue Molly Mid Rise Jeggings | Iris Deep Amber Heavy Grain Bag | Ditzy Floral Print Button Front Belted Dress | Autumn 2019 Nail Collection
Another big trend this Autumn is ditzy florals. Again, this doesn’t have to be worn just in spring or summer. You can pair this cute print with a big chunky cardigan and skinny jeans or wear wooly tights and a floral skirt. Ditzy floral prints work best with deeper, more autumn shades such as, mustard yellow, burgundy and deep orange.
What do you think of these popular autumn trends? Will you be wearing any of these looks this autumn?
